“And So It Begins!”

The title of this article probably lends you to believe that it has to do with December and the Christmas season; however, you would be wrong. It has to do with the U.N. and its attack against the religions of the world.

Most Americans ignore what is going on at the United Nations (many of whom don’t even know what it is or that it’s located in the United States). So, they would not know that a UN expert charged with promoting LGBTQ rights around the world called on governments to take action against religions that don't embrace LGBTQ rights.

In his latest report to the General Assembly, Victor Madrigal-Borloz said, “States should adopt decisive action when religious authorities, leaders or agents infringe on the rights of LGBT persons through violence and discrimination, including hate speech.”

Hate speech has evolved as to its definition over the years. It is now a term that comprises everything that LGBTQ activists disagree with including substantial portions of Holy Scripture and the religious texts of all three major religions.

The UN report on protection against violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, equates any kind of religious or political narrative that does not endorse LGBTQ rights with incitement to violence and calls on governments to respond forcefully.

The report also recommends including gender-neutral bathrooms in humanitarian camps. It recommends the adoption of “comprehensive sexuality education” that calls for kids to learn about masturbation and homosexuality. And it calls for reparations for past “pathologization, criminalization or any other stigmatizing processes.”

When the position was created in 2016, it was established for a 3-year period after a very controversial vote. Until that time, sexual orientation and gender identity had never been protected categories in international law. However, it has now been renewed with much less resistance and the directive is a stepping-stone to make that a reality. 

There are countries that actually engage in genuine persecution and even put to death people who identify as LGBTQ (Iran is one prominent example), which is obviously a human rights issue. However, though world leaders (including President Trump) have spoken out and condemned such practices, LGBTQ activists want far more than a condemnation of genuine persecution.

Their strategy is to bring up legitimate persecution to appear reasonable, and then insert a host of laws that allow them to shut down their critics. The target is specifically aimed at Christian pastors and leaders to be silenced, Christian adoption agencies shut down, and Christians driven out of the public square. 

As one reporter stated, “Born this way” is facing off with “you must be born again” and it’s becoming clear that religion must be suppressed in favor of the new rainbow dogmas.

They are using the UN to accomplish this goal, and the groundwork is being laid to usher in a One-World Government with laws targeting the major belief systems of the world. This in turn, will pave the way for the one the Bible identifies as the anti-Christ. If you think I’m reaching on this point, just watch and see as this will become a platform adopted by nations around the world.

The Book of Revelations is clear that world-wide persecution is coming against those the espouse the Judeo/Christian beliefs. However, that same book is clear about something else: that Jesus Christ is coming again soon.

“The Pseudo U.N.”

I’ve always wondered how people can refute the past when there is physical evidence right in front of them. There is a term for this: it’s called pseudohistory.

Pseudo is used to mark something that superficially appears to be (or behaves like) one thing but is something else. So, in its simplest terms, pseudo history attempts to distort or misrepresent the historical record, often using methods resembling those used in legitimate historical research. One such feature of pseudohistory is it is nearly always motivated by a contemporary political, religious, or personal agenda. It frequently presents a big lie or sensational claims about historical facts which would require the radical re-writing of the historical record.

This past week’s action at the U.N. has exposed it as a pseudo organization. Why? When founded in 1945 after the Second World War by 51 countries, its purpose was stated to maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and promoting social progress.

However, the word “pseudo” must be put in front of “United Nations” because it is a sham. It is a front to attack the tiny state of Israel.

As reported in the Jerusalem Post, a resolution was overwhelming passed 154-8, to call the Temple Mount in Jerusalem by its Muslim name only: Haram al-Sharif! It was one of eight Anti-Israel resolutions approved last week. An additional 15 more anti-Israel resolutions are anticipating approval as well.

Ironically, the resolution reaffirmed “the special significance of the holy sites and the importance of the City of Jerusalem for the three monotheistic religions.” Yet, it assigned only the Islamic name to the Temple Mount!

Israel and the United States were the only ones to vote against all eight resolutions. However, Australia, Canada, Guatemala, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, and Nauru joined them in voting against the Jerusalem texts. Interestingly, all of the twenty-eight EU member states backed the resolution.

Some of the resolutions related to both past and future Israeli ambitions to annex territory in Judea and Samaria reading: “The occupation of a territory is to be a temporary, de facto situation, whereby the occupying power can neither claim possession nor exert its sovereignty over the territory it occupies,” a resolution stated. That same resolution recalled “the principle of the inadmissibility of the acquisition of land by force and therefore the illegality of the annexation of any part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.” It also stated, “grave concern at recent statements calling for the annexation by Israel of areas in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.”

US Deputy Representative to the United Nations Cherith Norman Chalet responded by saying: “We are disappointed that despite support for reform, member states continue to disproportionately single out Israel through these types of resolutions”. She added that “it is deplorable that the United Nations – an institution founded upon the idea that all nations should be treated equally – should be so often used by member states to treat one state in particular, Israel, unequally.”

Zechariah 12:3 states, “On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.”

While this speaks of a future event near the end of the Great Tribulation period, we see it being manifested already today.

The nations of the earth can try to deny Israel’s past existence and its present day right to exist. However, there is coming a day when it will become clear that they were wrong—and no resolution will fix their mistake!

“What Time Is It?”

I remember as a young boy when I received my first wristwatch as a Christmas gift. It was a Timex brand and it had to be wound up every few days (younger generations will have no idea what I’m referring to). I was so excited to be able to simply look, anytime I wanted and know what time it was.

I know it’s hard to believe for many people today, but there was a day when it was often heard of someone asking another person, “Do you have the time?” In other words, “Can you tell me what time it is?”

Many cities had clocks on buildings and towns had them usually in the town square. People wanted to be able to know what time it was.

Today, almost everyone has a cell phone that has a clock that shows the local time and even times in different places of the world—all with a simple app.

When it comes to bible prophecy, the Bible is God’s clock for us. It isn’t difficult to understand once you grasp the basic rules for interpreting bible prophecy. Most people make it more difficult than it really is.

As to the current “time” frame we are living in relation to bible prophecy, we are living in the Dispensation of Grace. Dispensation simply means a divinely appointed order or age.

When Jesus appeared on earth, it was during the time known as the Dispensation of the Law. It began when God gave Moses the tablets of stone and the subsequent rules to govern the human race. That time ended with the death of Christ upon the cross and began what is the present era of Grace. It will last until the Second Coming of Christ to earth.

The time of Grace is important to understand as it has two ages:

The First is known as the Church Age, which began on the day of Pentecost and will continue until Christ takes His Church out of this world (known as The Rapture of the Church).

The Second age is known as The Tribulation Period, which is seven years according to the Jewish calendar. It is at the end of this stretch of time that Jesus will return to earth to establish an earthly kingdom. This ushers in the Dispensation known as the Millennial Kingdom, as it lasts for 1,000 years.

Unfortunately, many people today that profess to be Christians have little to no knowledge or understanding concerning what the Bible says concerning the future. They are either too busy with the cares of life to concerning themselves about them or have no clue that the Bible even tells the future AND that they can know what it is.

Jesus chastised the religious leaders of his day because they could tell the signs regarding the weather but failed to recognize the sign of the times in front of them—his appearance!

If Jesus were here today in flesh as before, I believe He would say the same thing to not only the religious leaders of this day but to every Christian that has the ability to read a Bible, but doesn't.

What time is it? It’s time to recognize the signs of the days in which we live and realize that “time” as we know it, is soon going to change. Why? Because Jesus is coming again!

“When Real Becomes Unreal”

I passed an electronic sign today warning drivers that they only have 329 days until the Real-ID driver’s license will be required. For those not familiar with the law to go into effect in 2020, the law sets forth requirements for state driver's licenses and ID cards to be accepted by the federal government for “official purposes”.

The Secretary of Homeland Security has defined “official purposes” as boarding commercially operated airline flights and entering federal buildings and nuclear power plants. However, the law gives the Secretary unlimited authority to require a “federal identification” for any other purposes.

When the law was passed in 2005, many saw that it could ultimately become a tool for government to exert control over people since it could be adapted for future reasons in the future.

Now, a new Senate bill would create a real-time national driver surveillance program that would allow law enforcement to know anything and everything about a driver at the click of a button. It is called the “Safe Drivers Act” and is designed for one purpose: to share everything a motorist has ever done with law enforcement nationwide.

Congressman Seth Moulton publicly announced his legislation in hopes of making it easier for safety officials to share information about drivers across state lines. However, how he plans to share drivers' personal information with law enforcement across the country is frightening.

"The ultimate goal of the bill is to help lead to the creation of a national, real-time data sharing program", Moulton's office said.

It appears that knowing a driver's Social Security Number, address, date of birth, checking their driving record and running their name against a national criminal database is not enough.

The congressman said, “the goal is to incentivize states to modernize their systems and work together to make sure their databases are compatible to improve communication on dangerous drivers.” The incentive would offer states more than $50 million to create a national real-time data sharing program.

According to The Salem News, this bill would also give law enforcement, real-time alerts of every driver—period!

Calling this a national, real-time data sharing program really doesn't do it justice. It should be called a real-time national driver surveillance program. And by the time this bill gets passed into law, it will have been modified to monitor motorists in ways that we haven't dreamed of yet.

The “Safe Drivers Act” if passed, will become a privacy nightmare. The Real-ID program already gives law enforcement an unprecedented look into everyone's personal lives. Americans do not need or want another national surveillance program under any pretense or condition.

The old adage about the “slippery slope” refers to a course of action that seems to lead inevitably from one action or result to another with unintended consequences. History shows that laws hastily thrown together, often with good intent, usually end up creating more harm than good.

With that all said, it’s clear to see how this scenario and others like it are simply shaping the future for what the Bible clearly defines as The Last Days. Governments will merge, currencies will become one and eventually a world ruler will rise to power.

So, when I see these things taking place, I don’t fear them; for I know these must happen to hasten the day when Jesus Christ returns to planet earth. That my friends, is real!

 

“What Is This World Coming To?”

I was talking with some people the other day and referred to a few things that were “normal” during the years of my childhood. They looked at me as if I were making it up as they being younger than myself, couldn’t believe that life in America could have ever been that way.

Later, as I reflected on the conversation, I realized again that we are living in a time when many people have no reference to a time when there hasn’t been partisanship as there is today. America is more divided than ever before in that it’s not just Point A vs Point B; no, there are so many different viewpoints that it appears that there can be no agreement about almost anything.

There was a saying that people used to say often: “What’s this world coming to?” The meaning refers to “something you say that means that life is not as pleasant or safe as it was in the past”—and there’s the problem.

When a generation(s) grow up knowing nothing but strife, division, hatred, demagoguery and self-centeredness, they have nothing to look back on to contrast the present. And why would that be important? To realize that things are out of order and the current trend will ultimately lead to disaster.

All around the world, the mood is turning bitter.  Anger and frustration are bubbling over, and protests are becoming violent in major cities of the world.  Economic issues, political matters and ethnic tensions are driving protesters into the streets of cities and towns on every continent.

Add to that, global economic conditions are rapidly worsening, and as economic pain intensifies that is only going to make things worse.

Here in the United States, the commotion surrounding the attempt to impeach President Trump is intensifying the political tensions that are already deeply divided this country.  

I remember the riots on the university campuses of America against the Vietnam War, the political unrest in the streets during political conventions and the protests of the Civil Rights Movement.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that when people lose hope that things are ever going to get any better, they tend to take to the streets…and that almost never leads to anything good.

Why am I writing this and what if anything does it have to do with bible prophecy?

The Bible clearly states that in the days leading up to the return of Jesus Christ (and before him, the Antichrist), “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom…”

The present-day violence spreading across the globe is not a surprise to those that understand the signs Jesus foretold would happen leading up to when he would return to planet earth.

Left with no compass pointing the way to the principles our Founding Fathers used to establish this nation, America and the rest of the world will continue on this path. What that looks like and where it might lead, one can only guess. However, to the Christian that knows God and His Word, there is no fear because we know “what this world is coming to”!
